She practices as a PNP at Pediatric Partners in Towson, Md and teaches as a Clinical Instructor at Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing in Baltimore. She knows that integrating practice and teaching makes her a better health care provider and a better teacher.

As a PNP, she sees newborns, children and adolescents to age 21 for well child visits and for acute sick visits. Her responsibilities include taking a careful history and detailed physical examination, ordering appropriate labs and diagnostic tests, diagnosing, and establishing a management plan, writing prescriptions, presenting treatment options and health education for the patient. Jody believes in choices, in providing knowledge and discussion so the patient and parents can make educated decisions.  As a Clinical Instructor, Jody coordinates a course designed to provide the fundamentals on how to assess and examine the pediatric patient.  In another course she coordinates, students learn about many pediatric diseases and how to apply that knowledge with pathophysiology and pharmacology to build a management plan tailored to the patient. She organizes clinical sites, curriculum, guest speakers, homework, and examinations. She visits students in their clinical sites, evaluates their performance and follows their progress with their preceptor, a nurse practitioner or physician.  Jody brings her best- her expertise, knowledge and experience to create a one of a kind health care service for children. with teaching nursing students and nurse practitioner students for the past 17 years.  She practices as a PNP at Pediatric Partners in Towson, Md and teaches as a Clinical Instructor at Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing in Baltimore.  She knows that integrating practice and teaching makes her a better health care provider and a better teacher.
