Veena K. Gupta, MD founded the Family Practice, Care First Medical Center, in 1988.

Dr. Veena achieved her medical degree at All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, India.

After receiving her degree, she completed her Family Practice Residency at Nashville, TN in 1980, acquiring Board Certifications in Family Practice, Geriatrics, Anti-Aging & Regenerative Medicine and Sports Medicine since that time.

Since 1988, Dr. Veena has expanded the practice to include Geriatrics, Internal Medicine, Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy, Sports Medicine, Allergy Testing, Anti-Aging Medicine, Metabolic & Functional Medicine and Occupational Health with AMA Board Certifications in Family Practice, Sports Medicine and Geriatrics.

In addition, Dr. Veena is a Fellow of American Academy of Family Practice (FAAFP) and an Advanced Fellow with Board Certification in Anti-Aging & Regenerative Medicine (ABAARM & FAARM).

Dr. Veena is a staff member of both Crossroads Community Hospital and St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, IL and is in good standing, servicing the community and surrounding areas since 1983. In 2008, she was named as one of "America's Top Family Doctors" by the Consumer Research Council of America. She has also been nominated in "Who's Who" by the American publication on numerous occasion.

Dr. Veena cares deeply for her patients' well being and has initiated pioneering work by not only treating the routine health conditions, but also focusing on Preventative Medicine to mitigate onset of chronic diseases such as Diabetes, Hypertension, Weight Management, etc. She specializes in Women's Healthcare, Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy, Post Menopausal Syndrome, Andropause, Fibromyalgia, Osteoporosis, Cardio Metabolic Disorder and GI health.
