Fellowship in Preventative Medicine

Marek Gawrysz MD

Rejuvenating Skin Cleanser

I earned my medical degree from the Medical Academy in Krakow (now again Collegium Medicum of the Jagiellonian University), Poland in 1978. My training requirements were fulfilled at the Medical Academy in Poland, Swedish Covenant Hospital and Columbus Hospital in Chicago. I am board certified in Family Practice.

I have been a member of The American Academy of Family Physicians since 1986, and a fellow of this organization since 1997, president and vice-president of The Polish-American Medical Society 1993-2001, as well as a member of the American Academy of Physicians’ Specialists, and a member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. I am also board certified in family practice.

My mission is to bring to my patients compassion, open communication, respect, quality medical care.

I also believe a patient has a number of rights when it comes to medical care, the most important being the right to the complete medical information. My patients understand why a procedure is performed, why certain tests or treatments are necessary and what the results indicate.

I take time to explain the patient’s medical conditions to them and encourage questions. My patients can discuss any subject with me and receive my full attention and confidentiality.

As a family practitioner who serves patients of any age, I also stress prevention in my medical practice. I educate my patients about the importance of regular physicals, health screenings and proper nutrition and supplementation. There is much merit in the old saying: “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”.
