Founder Mark R Engelman M.D. has had a very successful career as a practicing Emergency Medicine physician as well as well known community leader and entrepreneur. Dr Engelman, born and raised in Cols Ohio, earned his undergraduate and medical degrees from OSU. He did post graduate training at St Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phx,Az. He chose a career in the specialty of Emergency Medicine. Dr E joined the ED staff of St Joseph’s and became the Medical Director and Chairman of The Dept of Emergency Medicine two years later and held that position from 1975 to 1996 until he retired, having built the department to one of the tops in the USA. He achieved specialty Board certification in 1983. Dr Engelman retired from service as Medical Director of an Emergency Department with well over 50,000 visits annually without one medical malpractice suit or formal patient complaint. He was one of the pioneers of teaching ACLS and was instrumental in moving the fire departments to take over administering EMS patient care in the field. He has been a guest lecturer and hosted a number of medical panels nationally. Dr E has served on a number of BODs, including The Boys and Girls Club and the American Heart Association. He has had a successful career as an entrepreneur in varied businesses, from real estate to entertainment, and from 1995 to 2005 developed and operated a network of hospitals in the resort areas of Mexico catering to tourists and well to-do Mexicans.
Dr E was asked to join or be a medical business consultant for a number of stem cell therapy companies and for the last few years has studied and become fascinated with practical applications of stem cells, genomics and immunology. These interests lead him to the development of the current skin care project and business opportunity.
